Today marks 10 years since I came out as Trans.

Ten years. When did that happen?!

TEN. YEARS. WTF.

Someone once said that you're never completely out, neither do you ever finish coming out. This may come as quite a shock to some of you but I'm going to say it anyway.

I'm queer. Not only that, I'm Trans too.

There, I said it! And yes, I know Coming Out Day was yesterday, but I was busy with my DS Lite and forgot. Better late than never, ne?

My aunt came round at 7.30pm last night and we walked down to visit my youngest cousin. I think he was probably a bit surprised to see us. Aunt took Chloe upstairs so that I could talk to my cousin and his wife first and then tell Chloe afterwards. Today is going to be a very nerve-wracking day. I am intending on coming out to my uncle and my two cousins, plus cousin's wife and my little 6 year old neice. I've written a letter for my uncle which I've had my aunt read over. He likes to have damn good reasons for anything, so I've had to put an awful lot of explanation in the letter.

On Friday, I wrote a letter to my last employer to see if they would write a reference for me. Of course, I had to explain that it would need to be under a new name because I was undergoing gender reassignment and pretty much left it at that. I didn't expect that I'd hear from them for a couple of days at least, but I just got this email now:

I have a bit of a dilemma. For the past couple of years, I've been a member of an amateur dramatic/operatic society. We do one big production every April, and the rehearsals start at the end of September. When I performed in the show this year, I hadn't yet come out to many people so I had to do the show as female.
